The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) Cheer and Dance Team program is administered through the SIUE Athletic Department.  Members of the either program must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours per semester, maintaining a minimum 2.7 GPA to be eligible. (Seniors/grad students credit hours will be discussed on an individual basis.)  The length of service for an SIUE cheerleader is one year from the date of selection. 

 

 SIUE Game Day Squad Expectations:

• Cheer at home men’s and women’s basketball games

• Cheer at other games requested by SIUE Athletics

• Attend additional events requested/sponsored by SIUE Athletics

• Attend additional events as requested by SIUE or the local community

SIUE Competitive Cheer Team Expectations:

• Cheer at home men’s and women’s basketball games

• Cheer at other games requested by SIUE Athletics

• Attend additional events requested/sponsored by SIUE Athletics

• Attend additional events as requested by SIUE or the local community

• Compete at NCA Nationals

SIUE Dance Team Expectations:

• Perform at home men’s and women’s basketball games

• Perform at other games requested by SIUE Athletics

• Attend additional events requested/sponsored by SIUE Athletics

• Attend additional events as requested by SIUE or the local community

• Compete at NDA Nationals
